The Supercup on 12 August 2018 has brought new perspectives to TV audiences: A specially developed camera in a corner flagpole brought fans even closer to the on-pitch action. The DFL has also expanded virtual advertising for global broadcasts.
During the two-day event, Messe Düsseldorf and DFL Deutsche Fußball Liga showed three Innovation Matches which gave more than 900 guests from 21 countries the opportunity to see technical advancements which will add value to the sports experience in the future live in action. The aim was to experience and test technical innovation in real time and invite guests to give feedback.
