Thanks to the new website of the DFL’s International Product Portfolio (IPP), media partners of the DFL Deutsche Fußball Liga now have easier access to information and content they need for their coverage of the Bundesliga. The new website products.bundesliga.com has recently been launched by the DFL, providing media partners with valuable product and content information.
The International Product Portfolio was first launched in the 2005-06 season and has been providing international licensees with a wide range of accessible content ever since, from live broadcasts of Bundesliga matches with English commentary to TV shows, interviews and social media content. Currently, there are over 60 IPP licensees worldwide who can utilise more than 60,000 minutes of broadcast-enhancing content every season. The new website contains all the information necessary to access broadcast content, including duration and format specifics and exemplary preview videos with links to the respective Bundesliga booking and distribution platforms.
The online platform also automatically detects which of the three regions visitors come from, then suggesting appropriate content and information. There is also interactive information on weekly programme schedules, adjusted to the visitor’s time zone, and detailed match rundowns for the world feed, giving licensees greater scope for future planning. If users have questions, they are directed to the relevant sales and product managers for each region, based at one of the DFL’s local offices. With detailed ‘Football as it’s meant to be’ sections, including localised infographics, the website offers helpful background information supporting the Bundesliga’s international claim of being football’s innovation leader, providing the most entertaining football in the world and acting as a role model for youth development. Every product category comes with suggestions for supplementary content – e.g. a broadcaster planning to air a certain Bundesliga match might also be interested in the on-air trailers for that match.
